Two different links — they are not the same. Your manager emails you a registration link that you use once to fill in your details. After that you use the app link below every day. Put the app link on your home screen, not the registration one — that one stops working as soon as you have used it.

Getting started

1Open the app & put it on your phone

One tap from your home screen, like any other app

Open that link in your phone's browser, then add it to your home screen. You get a FireAttend icon that opens straight into the app — no address to type, no browser bar, and it remembers you so you stay signed in.

📱 iPhone & iPad

  1. Open the link in Safari. It must be Safari — Chrome on an iPhone cannot add app icons.
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom — the square with an arrow pointing up.
  3. Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add in the top-right.
  5. The FireAttend icon is now on your home screen.

🤖 Android

  1. Open the link in Chrome.
  2. A bar may appear saying Add FireAttend to Home screen — tap it and you are done.
  3. If it does not, tap the menu (top-right) and choose Add to Home screen or Install app.
  4. Tap Add or Install.
  5. The FireAttend icon is now on your home screen.

Already registered? Signing in on a new phone asks for a 6-digit code by email the first time — see step 3.
No smartphone? The same link works on any computer or tablet browser. Everything except the QR scanner works exactly the same.

2Register your details

A one-time form your manager sends you a link for

  1. Open your registration link. Your manager emails it to you. It works once, and only for 14 days — if it has expired, ask them to send a new one.
  2. Fill in your details. Name, address, date of birth, phone numbers and your nationality.
  3. Choose your weekly hours. Either Full time, or a set number of hours a week.
  4. Upload your ID. Everyone adds a clear photo or scan of their passport or driving licence.
  5. Right to work. If you are not a British or Irish citizen, add your gov.uk share code so your manager can check it online.
  6. Emergency contact & bank details. For pay. The sort code fills in as 00-00-00 as you type.
  7. Tax & P45. Tick the starter statement (A, B or C) that fits you, plus any student loans. Add a P45 if you have one.
  8. Create a password. At least 8 characters with an uppercase, a lowercase and a special character (! ? @ #).
  9. Tick the declaration and press Register.

What happens next? Your manager checks your right to work and sets your start date. You will get an email as soon as you are all set — then you can sign in and start clocking in.
If something needs correcting — a share code that has expired, say — your manager sends your form back with a note explaining what to change, and a fresh link. Nothing you already uploaded is lost: fill it in again with the correction and resend.

🕒 Clock — check in & out

Clock in and out from your own phone, at the store

  1. Open the Clock tab. It is the first tab at the bottom.
  2. Tap "Scan to clock in". The camera opens inside the app — this works the same on iPhone and Android.
  3. Point at the store QR code. Line it up in the box. Tap Allow for the camera and location when asked — the location check just confirms you are at the store (you are not tracked otherwise).
  4. You're in! The screen turns green and shows the time you started.
  5. Clock out. At the end of your shift, tap Scan again.
Be at the store. The location check needs you to actually be there — you cannot clock in from home.
Android extra: if your store has an NFC tag, you can just tap your phone to it instead of scanning.

📆 Availability — when you can work

Share next week so your manager can build the rota

  1. Open the Availability tab.
  2. Tick each day you can work. Leave a day unticked to mark it as off.
  3. Pick your start & finish times. Any time between 10:30 and 23:30, in 30-minute steps.
  4. Check your total. "Total offered" shows the hours you have added, next to the hours you are allowed.
  5. Press Save availability. You can update it any time before your manager publishes the rota.
Do it early. Share your availability as soon as you can each week — the sooner it is in, the better your shifts fit.

📊 Timesheet — your hours & rota

What you have worked, and what you are on next week

  1. Open the Timesheet tab.
  2. See your hours. Each day's total plus the week total, worked out automatically from when you clocked in and out.
  3. Look back at other weeks. Use the and arrows to check previous weeks.
  4. Next week's rota. Once your manager publishes it, your shift times appear here. If a day shows a time, that is when you are on. "Off" means a day off.
Hours look wrong? Tell your manager — they can correct a punch, and the original time is always kept alongside the correction.

💷 Payslips — your pay, to keep

Every payslip your manager files, in one place, whenever you need it

  1. Open the Payslips tab. It is the 💷 tab at the bottom.
  2. You get an email when a new one arrives. You do not have to keep checking — your manager files it and you are told.
  3. Find the one you want. They are listed newest first, each showing the period it covers and the date it was filed.
  4. Tap View. It opens the PDF, which you can then save or print like any other file on your phone.
  5. They stay here. Old payslips are not removed, so you can come back for one months later.
Useful for more than pay day. Landlords, banks and councils often ask for your last three payslips. They are always here, so you do not need to keep paper copies.
Something missing or wrong on a payslip? Speak to your manager — payslips are produced by payroll, and the app only stores and shares what they file.
