Supported devices
FireSign runs three ways: the app on Amazon Fire TV, the same app sideloaded on Android TV, or the web player (no install) on almost anything with a browser. Here's exactly what works — and what doesn't.
✓ Works Amazon Fire TV & Fire tablets
Install the FireSign app from the Amazon Appstore (search "FireSign"). Needs Fire OS 5 or newer (2016+ devices).

Install by sideloading the app from firesign.onrender.com/app (open it in the Downloader app or the device's browser). Needs Android 5.1 or newer.

- Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Panasonic Android/Google TVs
- Xiaomi Mi Box / TV Stick, Walmart onn.

✓ Works Any screen with a web browser — no install
Just open firesign.onrender.com/player in the device's browser and pair it. Great when a TV can't install apps.

✕ Not supported These can't run FireSign directly
No app for these and no usable browser, so they can't run FireSign on their own.
- Roku (all models)
- Apple TV (tvOS)
- Basic Chromecast (older casting-only dongle, no Google TV)
- Fire TV Stick (1st gen, 2014) — too old / underpowered
- Any device below Fire OS 5 / Android 5.1
Got an unsupported TV? You don't need to replace it. The cheapest fix is to plug a budget Android TV stick (~£18 — sideload the app) or a Fire TV Stick (~£30 — from the Appstore) into a spare HDMI port — or, if the TV or a nearby device has a web browser, just open the web player. Either way you're up in minutes.
